Neuralink develops brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that facilitate direct communication between the brain and external devices. Its main product, the N1 Implant, is a small, fully implantable device that allows users to control computers or mobile devices through their thoughts. The N1 Implant operates using a wirelessly charged battery and advanced low-power chips that process neural signals, which are then sent to the Neuralink Application to translate brain activity into computer commands. A unique aspect of Neuralink is its use of a surgical robot that precisely inserts ultra-thin threads into the brain, minimizing damage during the procedure. This company stands out from competitors by focusing on both medical applications for individuals with mobility issues and the potential for cognitive enhancement for a broader audience. The goal of Neuralink is to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs while exploring the possibilities of human-computer interaction.
