Requirements

  • Candidates must be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe team members, provide feedback, hold them accountable, and recognize strong guest experience performance.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve results, and align the team on effective behaviors and execution.
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience, and model, train, and coach team member expectations to deliver the GUEST service model.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
  • Plan daily and weekly workloads at the direction of the direct leader and execute them to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including planning merchandising sets, making changes and updates to planograms, sales plans, events, and promotions.
  • Lead and demonstrate execution of best practices for team onboarding and learning, and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • With direct leader guidance, develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities.
  • Encourage the team to use department tools such as fitting rooms, testers, and displays to welcome, inspire, and influence guests through personalized recommendations.
  • With direct leader guidance, partner with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met and areas are full and maintained.
  • Support team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations for defined categories.
  • Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring products are organized, signed correctly, and merchandised to support seasonal trends.
  • Support the direct leader in leading assigned department backroom processes, organization, layout, and sales-floor replenishment.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Lead the team in prioritizing guest experience by ensuring fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe when applicable.
  • Support the direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and lead and hold the team accountable to the same standards.
  • Lead a safety culture by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, holding the team accountable to safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage, and application as directed by best practices.
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts based on store needs.
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive Up while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
