  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from an Accredited Institution
  • 15-20 years’ experience working in a consulting firm, this is a Senior level role that requires a background in the MEP Engineering Industry
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Supervision/Mentoring of 6-7 employees
  • Required PE
Responsibilities
  • Representing the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
  • Creating basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer
  • Developing specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes
  • Conducting due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures
  • Establishing design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Designing large projects, preparing reports and specifications, and providing a very high level of technical leadership
  • Establishing project budgets and schedules
  • Networking within SHG and outside
  • Participating in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
  • Performing 'Engineer of Record' duties for projects
  • Performing calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration
  • Performing staff resource management and review
  • Producing drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
  • Providing consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports
  • Pursuing continuing education
  • Taking responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues
