It also safeguards legacy authentication and signup workflows and manages Shadow IT to prevent lateral movement. The company differentiates itself through a practical blend of risk analytics, automated threat remediation, user-focused training, and defense-in-depth strategies that customers find easy to use. Material Security launches AI OAuth Remediation Agent to tackle cloud workspace security risks

Material Security has launched its OAuth Remediation Agent, designed to help security teams identify and contain dangerous app connections and over-permissioned access in cloud workspaces. The capability addresses growing risks as attackers exploit OAuth tokens to compromise systems, whilst OAuth becomes the primary method for AI agents to connect to corporate applications. The agent provides continuous visibility across Google Workspace, automatically discovering connected apps, researching them and revoking tokens when necessary. According to CEO Abhishek Agrawal, 80% of Material's customers consider OAuth a significant priority, yet 45% have neglected it. Material Security, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, protects companies including Figma, Mars and DoorDash. The company will demonstrate the OAuth Agent at SecureWorld Boston on 8–9 April.
