OpenAI is losing its second executive this week.

OpenAI is losing its second executive this week. by bleffel | Aug 13, 2026 Another OpenAI executive is departing. Denise Dresser, who joined OpenAI as its chief revenue officer in December after serving as CEO of Slack, will be leaving in the "coming weeks" to "pursue other opportunities," she said in a team note posted to LinkedIn. Dali Rajic, president and COO of Wiz, will be taking over the CRO role, OpenAI says. Dresser's departure is just the latest in a string of major exits. Earlier this week, special projects lead and former COO Brad Lightcap announced he would be leaving. (Dresser had taken over some of Lightcap's work when he moved to the special projects role.) Former AGI chief Fidji Simo and former CMO... This post was originally published on this site

OpenAI revenue chief Denise Dresser leaves, second high-profile executive exit this week.

OpenAI revenue chief Denise Dresser leaves, second high-profile executive exit this week. OpenAI is losing another top executive at a pivotal moment for the AI company. Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser is leaving OpenAI less than a year after joining the ChatGPT maker, marking the second high-profile executive departure at the company in just days. Her exit comes as OpenAI scales its enterprise business, spends heavily on computing infrastructure, and prepares for what could become one of the largest technology IPOs ever. OpenAI said Thursday that Dresser is leaving "to pursue other opportunities." The company has named Dali Rajic, the former president and chief operating officer of cybersecurity company Wiz, as her replacement. "Denise Dresser helped make that possible. During a formative period for both OpenAI and the enterprise AI market, she built the team, strengthened relationships with major customers, and established the commercial foundation that has brought our business to this point. Denise will leave OpenAI to pursue other opportunities following a transition period, during which she will work closely with the business team to support our customers. We're deeply grateful for her leadership and everything she's done for OpenAI," the maker of ChatGPT said in a statement. The timing puts fresh attention on OpenAI's senior ranks. Longtime executive Brad Lightcap announced Tuesday on X that he was leaving the company to "start something new." Two major departures in the same week would draw attention at almost any company. At OpenAI, where investors are watching its growth, spending, corporate structure, and path to the public markets, the exits carry extra weight. From Slack CEO to OpenAI revenue chief. Dresser joined OpenAI in December after more than a decade at Salesforce, bringing years of experience selling enterprise software to large organizations. She became CEO of Slack in 2023, taking charge of the workplace messaging company several years after Salesforce acquired it for more than $27 billion. Her move to OpenAI came as the AI company was pushing deeper into corporate accounts and trying to turn enormous demand for ChatGPT into a durable enterprise business. That made Dresser an important hire. OpenAI has evolved far beyond its roots as an AI research lab. It now operates one of the industry's largest consumer subscription businesses, sells AI services to companies and developers, and faces enormous infrastructure costs tied to training and running increasingly capable models. Revenue leadership sits at the center of that equation. OpenAI needs to convert its huge user base and corporate interest into enough recurring revenue to support its spending ambitions and satisfy investors expecting continued growth. Dresser's departure less than a year into the role means Rajic will inherit that job at a particularly sensitive time. Rajic brings his own enterprise credentials. Before joining OpenAI, he served as president and COO of Wiz, the cloud security company that became one of the most closely watched enterprise software startups of the past several years. His appointment suggests OpenAI is looking for an operator familiar with scaling enterprise sales at high speed, rather than changing course on its push into corporate AI. Two OpenAI executive departures in days. Dresser's exit stands out more when viewed alongside Lightcap's departure. Lightcap had been one of OpenAI's longest-serving senior executives and played a major role in the company's commercial growth and international expansion. He announced his departure Tuesday in a post on X, saying he plans to "start something new." There is no indication that the two departures are connected. Yet losing two recognizable senior executives within days creates an unusual leadership moment for a company approaching what may be its biggest transition yet. An IPO would expose OpenAI to a very different level of scrutiny. Public investors would have far greater visibility into revenue growth, operating expenses, infrastructure commitments, customer concentration, margins, and the economics behind serving hundreds of millions of AI users. That makes stability across OpenAI's leadership team increasingly significant. The company is trying to balance several major priorities at once: maintaining its lead in consumer AI, winning enterprise customers, competing with deep-pocketed rivals, securing vast computing capacity, and building a financial model capable of supporting its ambitions. Dresser's replacement now becomes one of the executives responsible for making those numbers work. Rajic arrives with experience scaling a high-growth enterprise technology company. Yet OpenAI presents a challenge on another scale. Few companies have ever had to commercialize a technology attracting this much demand while simultaneously funding the infrastructure required to serve it. For OpenAI, Dresser's departure may prove to be a straightforward leadership transition. Coming just two days after Lightcap announced his own exit, though, it is certain to get more attention than an ordinary changing of the guard.

Closing the API security gap: Postman and Wiz, better together.

Closing the API security gap: Postman and Wiz, better together. August 3, 2026 What do you get when you combine Postman's API platform with Wiz's cloud security intelligence? A single, unified view of every API your team owns, and the risk that comes with it. Wiz's runtime security is now embedded directly in the Postman API Catalog, so your team can see, understand, and fix API risk before it becomes a breach. The gap no one is talking about. Security teams have made real progress in understanding what's running in production. Tools like Wiz give CISOs and security engineers a powerful lens into deployed services, surfacing runtime risk, misconfigurations, and exposure across cloud environments. But there's a blind spot most organizations haven't fully addressed: the APIs that haven't shipped yet. APIs that are actively being designed, built, and reviewed, but haven't reached production, carry real risk. Today, they're largely invisible to security tooling. That's the gap Postman, Inc. is closing together with Wiz. How the current workflow breaks down. In the existing model, a security engineer using Wiz has to manually pull risk signals from the dashboard, translate those findings, and then track down the right developer to fix the issue, often across tools and teams. Context gets lost in Slack threads and email handoffs. Fixes happen slowly, if at all. The problem isn't visibility. It's where that visibility lives. When security signals exist outside the developer's workspace, the workflow breaks down at the handoff. The Postman API Catalog has always given teams a comprehensive view of their known APIs. Wiz has always excelled at highlighting risk in what's deployed. But until now, neither tool could see the other's picture completely. Before: Pull risk from Wiz, find the engineer, fix in real time. After: Risk surfaces in Postman, inside the API Catalog, in context. Integrating Wiz into Postman's API Catalog. One of the key value drivers for Postman customers has always been its commitment to API security, and the Wiz CISO dashboard has always been a core component of that. This new integration takes that a step further by embedding the Wiz dashboard right into the Postman platform through the Postman API Catalog. It's exactly what it sounds like: Wiz's security intelligence, embedded natively inside the Postman platform. By embedding the Wiz CLI and dashboard directly into Postman, teams get a unified scorecard with operational health and a complete inventory of every known service, all in one view. This matters because it fulfills the first mandate of any security program. If you have services, you need visibility into them before you can create and enforce policy. That visibility now lives in the tool your developers already use every day. Think of it as the intersection of Postman's API governance and Wiz's cloud security intelligence: every known service, its operational health, and its security posture, in a single, actionable view. Three capabilities that change the workflow. * See what Wiz can't see alone. APIs on the left side of the lifecycle, undeployed and in development, are invisible to runtime scanners. The API Catalog surfaces them and now flags risk before they ship. * Full-spectrum coverage. Deployed APIs get Wiz's runtime risk analysis. Undeployed APIs get policy and design-time checks. Current risk and future risk, in one place. * Embedded, not bolted on. The dashboard lives inside Postman, not as a separate tab to remember, but as part of the API Catalog workflow your team already uses. Shift left on security, for real. "Shift left" has become a cliche. The principle still holds: catching a security problem at design time is orders of magnitude cheaper than fixing it in production. The Wiz API Catalog dashboard makes that possible in a way that wasn't feasible before. When a developer opens an API in Postman, they'll see a scorecard alongside everything else, not because they went looking for it, but because the signal came to them. That's the model that actually changes behavior. "The new dashboard shows risks based on APIs that aren't deployed yet, before they become a problem. That's how we move from reactive to preventive." Get started today. The Wiz API Catalog dashboard is available now for customers on Postman's Enterprise plan. To turn on the integration, go to your API Catalog settings or reach out to your Postman account team. Postman, Inc. is just getting started. Expect deeper workflows, expanded coverage, and more customer stories in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, Postman, Inc.'d love to hear how your team is using it. Resources. In this post. Sam Chehab
