Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree related to Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing, or six years of food or beverage manufacturing experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Six years of food or beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Four years of experience supervising manufacturing teams.
  • Experience effectively leading a team environment and translating concepts into concrete examples.
  • Experience operating a wide range of food processing equipment and knowledge of SQF and quality standards and requirements.
  • A cross-functional understanding of maintenance practices and techniques and a good understanding of statistical process control and associated tools.
  • Availability to cover weekends as needed to support 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to work the stated 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift, with start times flexed as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Ability to move physically throughout the facility, including climbing stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks, and accessing tight areas.
  • Ability to work in a plant environment exposed to dust, high noise levels, temperature and humidity fluctuations, fumes and odors, poor lighting, and wet operating conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to execute strategies that deliver site and company goals.
  • Establish, communicate, and execute measurable manufacturing and team-member goals for safety, quality, service, and performance.
  • Own one or more systems or tools deployed or enhanced at the site.
  • Function as an Operations Startup Lead for critical projects involving modified or newly installed equipment.
  • Lead systems or continuous-improvement efforts across manufacturing sites by establishing and training to standards, inspecting against standards, and measuring results.
  • Build development plans and actively coach direct reports to improve team capability and results.
  • Lead and develop continuous-improvement initiatives and promote the site's organizational culture.
  • Promote high standards of food safety and sanitation to improve product quality and meet customer and consumer expectations.
  • Assist the team in assembling and delivering an Annual Operation Plan that improves fixed and variable costs.
  • Lead shift operations to achieve production schedules, inventory control, and service levels cost-effectively.
  • Achieve technical mastery of the production process and assist with innovation as required.
  • Promote continuous learning of staff to create a flexible and agile workforce.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Experience coaching and developing direct reports and the broader organization.
  • Knowledge of city, county, state, and federal rules and regulations concerning municipal codes.
  • Strong planning skills, including analyzing trends and determining corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce work on schedule.
  • Ability to act independently in a constructive manner.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability through discovering and utilizing people's capabilities, recognizing good work, and earning the respect of peers and subordinates.
