Java UI/Angularjs Developer

Location: NYC

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Embed with MSG team to understand client needs as well as markets and asset classes covered by the group
• Propose, design, and implement software solutions to enhance our client services and capture new opportunities
• Design and build platforms to increase our operational efficiency and scale
• Develop client and desk-facing applications using web frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, React JS)
• Build scalable financial services using the latest server-side technologies
• Research and develop on new data platforms (e.g. MongoDB, HDFS, Spark, Cassandra)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience
• Must have strong Java skills
• Must have familiarity with MongoDB and SQL (Not a DBA but knows how to use the technology)
• Programming and software development education/experience in Java
• Communication and presentation skills
• Creativity, entrepreneurship and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaborate in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Web UI Development experience
• Background in statistics, math and/or finance is preferred but not required
