Requirements

  • The candidate must have close and peripheral vision, be able to adjust focus, and manipulate objects such as pens, keyboards, and mice.
  • The candidate must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb a 40-foot ladder, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle materials, and perform repetitive eye, hand, and foot coordination.
  • The candidate must have prior experience with fiber-optic cable or coaxial cable installation and fiber-to-the-home deployment.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of splicing and termination.
  • The candidate must be familiar with fiber-to-the-home equipment and hardware.
  • The candidate must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • The candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record check.
  • The candidate must be able to lift 60–80 pounds and climb 28–36-foot ladders.

Responsibilities
  • Install, splice, and terminate fiber-optic and coaxial cables and connectors in indoor and outdoor settings, routing and organizing cables according to industry standards.
  • Test installed fiber-optic and coaxial connections and perform quality assurance checks to verify functionality and performance, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fiber-optic and coaxial equipment and network infrastructure, respond to service outages, and restore connectivity.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, equipment used, network configurations, and completed work.
  • Interact professionally with customers, address inquiries, explain service options, and provide technical support when required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following safety practices and policies and reporting accidents, losses, injuries, or property damage according to established policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to resolve complex technical issues and coordinate network expansion projects.
  • Manage inventory accurately, including device counts and records.
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, technical publications, and up-training.
  • Report all time worked accurately and notify management or human resources of questions, issues, or concerns.
  • Provide high-quality service to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Self-monitor performance through scorecard reports.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mentor new employees as needed.
  • Attend scheduled team meetings.
  • Cross-train on additional services to meet customer demand.
  • Represent MasTec Advanced Technologies and its partner professionally to customers, including showing identification and wearing the required uniform.
  • Perform general clerical work such as filing, copying, and mailing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Drive to job sites daily and travel as required.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions and moderate noise environments while performing the essential functions of the position.

MasTec has priced a public offering of $650 million in senior notes due 2036. The notes will carry a 5.850% interest rate, payable semi-annually, and were priced at 99.656%. They will mature on 30 September 2036. The company intends to use the net proceeds primarily to repay some or all of its $600 million term loan, which matures on 26 June 2028, and to cover related fees and expenses. Any remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, potentially including repayment of existing debt under its senior unsecured credit facility. The offering is expected to close on 17 August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. PNC Capital Markets, Truist Securities, Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities are serving as joint book-running managers.
