Azelis thickens Polish portfolio with exclusive Omnia Europe deal.

Azelis thickens Polish portfolio with exclusive Omnia Europe deal. Posted 17 March, 2026 Azelis, a leading global innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, has announced a new exclusive distribution agreement with Omnia Europe. The partnership, effective immediately, grants Azelis the exclusive rights to distribute Omnia's portfolio of modified waxy corn food starches throughout Poland. The deal represents a significant strategic expansion for Azelis's Food & Nutrition division in Eastern Europe, reinforcing its role as a one-stop shop for manufacturers seeking advanced texturising and thickening solutions. By integrating Omnia's modified waxy corn starches into its existing lineup, Azelis now offers one of the most comprehensive thickener portfolios in the Polish market. This range already includes gums, methyl cellulose, locust bean gum, pectins, agar-agar, and various native starches. For food manufacturers, the primary benefit is the ability to source complementary ingredients through a single, dependable distribution partner. This streamlined procurement process is backed by Azelis's local technical teams, who provide formulation support to help brands navigate the complexities of food science when bringing new products to market. The agreement serves as a powerful growth engine for both entities: * For Azelis: the group expands its footprint in the Polish food ingredients sector, leveraging its deep application-specific expertise to offer more nuanced formulation solutions across various food categories. * For Omnia Europe: the manufacturer gains an immediate and robust presence in Poland by tapping into Azelis's established commercial network, market intelligence, and day-to-day collaboration with local food producers. Burcu Gezegen Özdemir, managing director Türkiye and market segment director food & nutrition at Azelis, highlighted the impact of the deal: "Expanding our thickener portfolio with Omnia's modified waxy corn starches allows us to offer customers in Poland an even broader range of formulation solutions. Our teams can now help customers evaluate new ingredient options more effectively as they bring new products to market." Azelis's strategy remains firmly rooted in its innovation capabilities. By combining global market trends with technical know-how, the group's specialists in Poland will work alongside customers to translate concepts into ready-to-launch products. This hands-on approach is designed to push the boundaries of food innovation, particularly in developing sustainable and efficient products that meet modern consumer demands. As the Polish food industry continues to evolve, this partnership positions Azelis as a critical intermediary, connecting Omnia's specialised starch technology with the evolving needs of the country's food and beverage manufacturers.
