The primary responsibilities of the Analyst are supporting the Senior Investments Team members with a myriad of analytical duties related to Link’s on-going disposition strategy. Functions include supporting all aspects of a transaction including using Argus to model cash flows, preparing and analyzing hold-sell models, preparing materials for senior Link and Blackstone investments and asset management teams, managing due diligence, and assisting with contract negotiations. Additionally, the Analyst is expected to work collaboratively with the asset management and operations teams during due diligence and through deal closing. The Analyst will actively represent the company maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
This highly visible role provides the opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing firm as an integral member of the Investments team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinating with Blackstone, Investments, and Asset Management team members nationwide on all dispositions
Assist in the financial analysis and underwriting of potential dispositions by preparing hold-sell models, discounted cash flows, and sales comparable analyses
Assist in the preparation of investment committee presentations for dispositions
Work with third party brokers to create and review marketing materials. Represent Link to the brokerage community and broader marketplace by showing a high degree of professionalism.
Actively maintain disposition trackers
In coordination with in-house, outside counsel, and Senior Investments Team members, assist with the negotiation of LOIs, access agreements and purchase and sale agreements.
Work closely with the operations team during due diligence through deal closing
Work collaboratively with Investments team members in other markets/regions and the asset management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience
BBA, BA or BS in Finance, Real Estate Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related disciplines preferred.
Strong academic record
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Argus (AE) preferred
Understanding of basic financial concepts used to evaluate investments, such as simple cash flow analyses, time value of money, return on investment, etc.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-motivation, determination and initiative in a team environment
Demonstrated high attention to detail
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced work environment
