Position Overview: Training Manager - based on-site in Florence, KY
We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead the learning and development efforts across multiple sites within our large-scale manufacturing organization. This role will oversee a team of Training Supervisors and Trainers, providing strategic direction and operational management to ensure training programs align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement in workforce capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and development within a manufacturing environment and a proven ability to develop and implement strategies that support operational excellence.

What can you expect to do?
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership and site managers to assess training needs and develop a strategic training roadmap that supports operational goals, promotes a culture of learning, and ensures the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Program Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, safety compliance, leadership development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Tailor programs to meet site-specific needs and industry standards.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Training Supervisors and Trainers, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with company goals. Set clear objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between the training team and cross-functional partners, including operations, quality, HR, and safety teams, to align training programs with business needs.
- Budget Management: Manage training budgets effectively, balancing resources across sites while maximizing training impact and ROI.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and regularly analyze training data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all training programs comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Partner with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) to implement safety training and certifications as required.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in training and development, human resources, or related field.
- 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in strategy development, with a track record of designing and implementing impactful training programs.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in managing teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
