JOB SUMMARY: Handles all day-to-day ITS logistics operations and support activities related to the desktop, network/telecomm and server infrastructure outside of the datacenter, while providing great customer service and support to the organization. Responsible for understanding in-depth cross department workflows and partners with our customers to recommend solutions and optimal hardware configurations to assist in the optimal delivery of Academic, Healthcare and Research systems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent relevant work experience required. Experience working in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred. Experience in creation and implementation of project plans including resource supervision, change management, coordination with multiple teams and quality follow with the customer. Experience in a healthcare or healthcare related environment preferred. Broad knowledge of IT Services within the Academic, Clinical and Research areas. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: n/a ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists with unload of shipment received to the warehouse and conduct inbound services, which include receiving and processing equipment from suppliers and various sites; deliver shipments to stock rooms and local regional sites. Completes data entry in inventory management systems verifying accuracy of requests matching quantities and types Prepares shipments including create and paste labels, removing any old, non-needed stickers, organize packaging to ensure safety Cleans and refurbishes computers and phones in preparation for returning to stock, logging information in inventory management system Conducts deployment services, which encompass desk side support, desk setup, phone provisioning, and quick fix management Receives and processes all returning equipment shipment from termed employees Ensures that ITS hardware standards are followed. Escalates issues to Manager when necessary. Works closely with ITS Project Coordinator to ensure equipment resources are available for go lives. Responsible for resource planning with assistance from the Manager. Works closely with Asset Management to ensure that full discovery of hardware assets is in place. Ensures hardware and software is appropriately procured, recorded, tracked, transferred and recycled Ensures that weekly timesheets and updates are created and delivered to the Manager or uploaded to the site. Records time spent on projects to meet documentation requirements. Documents all critical workflows for assigned areas of coverage and ensures documentation is available to the Enterprise Infrastructure Operations Team. Documents all work performed in the ITS Service Management System. Identifies operational deficiencies and makes recommendations to the Manager for review. Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Familiarity with inventory management tools preferred Experience operating forklifts/lift trucks recommended, certification a plus Highly developed documentation, knowledge and information management skills Demonstrated ability in delivering project asset coordination functions; and experience in the use of asset management systems, especially software license and asset management Experience in analyzing SCCM data in relation to assets and software Demonstrated experience with hardware troubleshooting. In depth knowledge of Enterprise software and hardware troubleshooting serving as an escalation path for other areas of ITS support teams. Have an overall span of knowledge of support in the Enterprise. Serve as a conduit for communication from the customer Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver equipment for deployment projects on time and on budget.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced with long hours as needed based on business requirements. Maybe required to go into student/academic areas, patient care areas such as patient rooms, Operating rooms, or treatment rooms when needed to deliver equipment
Pay Range
$26.10 - $39.15
