PACS Group has acquired Ridgeway Senior Living, a post-acute care facility in Anchorage, Alaska, marking its fourth property in the state. The company has also purchased adjacent land to construct a 150-bed skilled nursing facility, expected to be completed by 2028. The expansion brings PACS' portfolio to 325 communities across 17 states, with nearly 36,000 beds. PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS operates over 320 post-acute care and senior living facilities across 17 states, serving more than 31,700 patients daily.
PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. Hancock guided PACS through its successful initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in April 2024 and served as interim CFO from September 2025. He will be succeeded by Carey P. Hendrickson, who was appointed CFO on 27 April 2026.
PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer. During his tenure, he led the transformation of Medicare payment policy, increasing payments in alternative payment models from virtually zero to over 30% of total Medicare payments. Jason Murray, chairman and CEO of PACS Group, described the appointment as transformative for the post-acute and skilled nursing sector.
