Requirements

5+ years professional experience in large scale enterprise and/or managed hosting data center environment
Experience deploying / troubleshooting Linux systems (Red Hat/CentOS), Ubuntu as well as VMware environments (esxi, NSX, vsan)
Experience working directly with end users to determine deployment and configuration requirements
Ability to prioritize tasks and act / research independently
Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN / NAS devices)
Experience configuring Cisco or Arista switches manually or via automated means (Ansible etc)
Ability to lift 30+ pounds
Datacenter DCIM knowledge
Datacenter electrical and mechanical knowledge
Participate in the software development process as necessary, providing operational infrastructure designs and recommendations as required
Document complex processes using common tools such as Visio, LucidChart, Sunbird DCTrack DCIM or similar, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Experience with logging and monitoring best practices

Responsibilities

Day to day server administration (physical, virtual), storage administration, network config and applications support, health and performance monitoring. Ensuring quick turnaround times, as well as performance levels, availability, and security
Responsible for service delivery SLAs and validation at the storage, network, testing and application level. Ensuring proper infrastructure / testbed functionality with operations and internal R&D teams
Refine and automate commonly performed tasks to gain efficiencies and scalability using automation platforms such as Ansible, Puppet, etc
Experience using ticketing systems to track issues and document changes (Jira preferred)
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers
Deploy infrastructure manually and also via configuration management / automation platforms
Monitor and manage infrastructure utilization and performance
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network related issues, provide quick resolution to reported problems and perform root cause analysis to analyze reason for issues and prevent future occurrences
Communicate and coordinate infrastructure maintenance schedule and downtime to users
Help implement infrastructure solutions that meet or exceed our internal and external customers' SLAs and expectations

Our Datacenter Operations Teams are looking for Datacenter Systems Engineers / Administrators to join our infrastructure shared services team. This ideal candidate will be confident in providing infrastructure management support for our on-prem data centers and engineering labs.

What You’ll Be Doing...

Must Haves;

The base hourly range is: $45-$67. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
