Requirements
  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours and bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel.
  • Ability to see and hear.
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
  • Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens, terry, and other supplies.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures for supplies, guestrooms, and public areas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in monitoring the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Help satisfy guests through the friendliness and service of the housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and operating correctly within labor and budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist in coordinating housekeeping team activities, including breakout boards, time assignments, room checks, system entries, breaks, and clock-in and clock-out compliance.
  • Account for and secure keys for guests and associates at all times.
  • Assist with monthly inventories, ordering, receiving, and maintaining supplies.
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms as needed so they are guest-ready.
  • Return occupied dirty rooms to occupied-clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints and according to brand standards and best practices.
  • Follow housekeeping cleaning procedures for every assignment and as specified on the training checklist.
  • Report discrepancies to the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Help maintain the associate breakroom, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and the safety and security needs of guests and associates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing.
