Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • A current New York State Radiologic Technologist License is required.
  • New York State Certification for Intravascular Contrast Media Injection is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography (R) is required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification and registration in Computed Tomography (CT) is required, or the candidate must be eligible to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • The candidate must maintain all New York State and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists continuing education and credential renewal requirements.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records, Radiology Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, and modality-specific software systems is required.
  • Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required.
  • The position requires on-site presence and residence within a commutable distance to NYP.
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality computed tomography examinations using advanced imaging technology.
  • Use Radiology Information Systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, and digital data management tools.
  • Work under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental leadership.
  • Deliver accurate and timely diagnostic imaging that supports patient care.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety while collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of Diagnostic Imaging experience.
  • Recent CT experience.
