About the team and the role:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Browse User Experience team leading Navigational Experience. You will spearhead the evolution of how users navigate through eBay to explore, discover and find the items they like. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing the browsing user experience, from optimizing an intuitive category navigation experience to creating user-friendly pivots to help shoppers narrow / broaden their search. This role offers a unique opportunity to innovate the user experience powered by ground breaking science-driven data.
The Browse User Experience team builds an engaging and intuitive category-based browsing experience on eBay. In addition to powering a relevant part of the buyer journey at eBay, our platform also generates a significant amount of traffic to these category pages by being highly-optimized for external search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. As a key member of this team, you will own specific product components from roadmap planning through execution, evaluation, and iteration. You will collaborate closely with engineers, business partners, analysts, researchers, and designers to identify customer needs, develop strategies, and test solutions.
What you will accomplish:
Drive the roadmap and execution for key features within a customer’s browsing experience on eBay.
Attract new customers to eBay by optimizing category pages for external search engines.
Improve engagement and drive conversion on category pages by identifying and addressing customer needs.
Demonstrate a relentless focus to listen to our end-users and feed their voice into our product development process. Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Collaborate with leaders across eBay to align plans and improve business opportunities.
Continuously optimize performance by conducting A/B tests, analyzing results, and recommending next steps.
What you will bring:
3-6 years experience in Product Management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS preferred
Experience with e-commerce or other consumer-facing products
Strong technical proficiency, eye for business, and design sensibilities
Experience coordinating a team of engineers
Experience with A/B quantitative testing
Data driven and results oriented decision making
Experience working with user experience design and research
Experience working with data science team
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$135,200 - $205,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
