Requirements
  • An ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in a discipline-specific field of study, such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
Responsibilities
  • Interface with clients and external partners.
  • Plan and direct work and manage a project budget from a discipline design perspective on small projects of limited complexity.
  • Support proposal development under the supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer.
  • Identify basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys.
  • Develop basic internal discipline design and engineering training presentations.
  • Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity with little oversight.
  • Lead squad checks and discipline checks for small projects of intermediate complexity and drive overall project quality.
  • Provide mentorship to discipline Engineer I and Designer I and II.
  • Lead intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from a Lead or Senior Engineer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Registration for or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments.
  • Intermediate experience performing instrumentation and controls engineering calculations and developing and implementing instrumentation and control system designs.
  • Intermediate experience implementing fundamental design aspects of control system schematics, panel fabrication drawings, and field wiring plans.
  • Intermediate experience developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Intermediate experience with the electrical code.
  • Intermediate experience with applicable industry standards.
  • Intermediate experience with applicable mechanical and building codes.
  • Basic experience and knowledge designing Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Proficiency in intermediate internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination.
  • Proficiency in intermediate coordination with construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in intermediate discipline systems design calculations with limited supervision.
  • Basic experience and knowledge troubleshooting issues with discipline and systems.
