- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in automobile, medium/heavy truck, school bus, or transit bus service.
- Some appropriate hand tools.
- A valid driver’s license for the vehicle classes being serviced.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work with and lead other team members on projects.
- Ability to travel 80% or more.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license, including successful completion of a medical examination, driving test, and other license requirements.
- Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
- Perform hands-on wrench-pulling work.
- Travel extensively to company locations and customer sites.
- Work alongside other professionals, technicians, and customers.
- A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
- Tool program availability is offered for technicians who need additional tools.
