As a Planning & Control intern, your work will involve algorithm design, software implementation, integration, and testing for modeling uncertainty for cyclists, pedestrians, and vulnerable road users. The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with and contribute to a team developing state-of-the-art estimation techniques for a fleet of fully autonomous vehicles operating in complex dense urban environments.

Requirements

Currently working towards an M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program.
Good academic standing
Can commit to at least a 12-week internship
At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
Ability to relocate to Boston, MA for the duration of the internship
Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox.

Qualifications

Working towards a master’s degree in robotics, statistics, controls or a related field
Experience with statistical estimation and planning under uncertainty techniques
Experience with C++/Python

Vaccine Mandate

Employees working in this position will be required to have received a single dose of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine OR have completed the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series.
