The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco:
It is an exciting time at Moloco! As the company grows so does the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. We are looking to hire a Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing, reporting to the Senior Director Strategic Sourcing. This role requires strong partnership with the business to strategically manage spend across multiple categories. The Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing will develop category-sourcing strategy and lead cross-functional teams to execute the sourcing and supplier management strategy for multiple categories.
This position requires seasoned experience with strategic sourcing methodologies related to indirect procurement categories by performing market and spend analysis and then working with the business to build a category roadmap, perform sourcing activities, leading contract negotiations and award to supplier, and then utilizing scorecards and quarterly business reviews to monitor supplier performance.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
The right candidate must be able to create and review analysis reports, strongly represent the Strategic Sourcing department in company meetings, interact with other departments, effectively lead negotiations and work efficiently handling multiple responsibilities.
In addition to traditional strategic sourcing responsibilities, the Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing will partner with the Senior Director to build the overall strategic sourcing and procurement organization with a focus on strategy development and efficient, scalable processes and operations.
- Ability to manage preferred supplier relationships, monitoring performance and analyzing category spend
- Ability to connect with business leaders in an effort to define and strategically leverage spending to include proactive focus on major spend initiatives.
- Lead regular meetings with department leadership focusing on strategic spending and supplier strategies
- Manage and negotiate supplier contracts
- Masterfully lead sourcing initiatives including RFx, QBR, category strategy development and execution
- Develop and implement sourcing programs
- Ability to lead complex, highly visible projects
- Apply a growth mindset to continuously improve and look for opportunities to maximize value
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Develop and execute category strategy
- Strong ability to influence business stakeholders and cross functional partners
Here is what you need to succeed:
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in procurement or sourcing related background.
- 6+ years experience in managing multiple category areas and effectively procuring goods/services in a fast-paced work environment is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in business, supply chain management or other related field.
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) a plus.
- Knowledgeable in the competitive bidding and pricing
- Knowledgeable in ERP Systems, Coupa preferred
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley
- Assertiveness
- Independent Judgment and Initiative
- Confidence in dealing with other departments, outside representatives and upper management
- Expertise in project management
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, analytical, leadership and negotiating skills
