Requirements
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of proven success in client engagement, customer success, or account management is preferred.
  • Experience or interest in financial markets, financial technology, asset management, or trading is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is required.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail, are required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, Google templates, and Google distribution lists is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all renewal aspects of relationships with Newswires customers in the EMEA region.
  • Retain existing contract revenue within existing buying centers and support new sales into assigned accounts with the Account Executive.
  • Liaise with internal Newswires Product, Technology, and Partnerships teams to ensure client business needs are consistently met.
  • Develop and drive successful renewals to maintain a strong revenue base.
  • Create, own, and secure buy-in for retention strategies for assigned Newswires accounts alongside the Account Executive and Newswires Client Engagement Specialist colleagues.
  • Provide management and collaborating teams with a monthly or bi-monthly view of high-risk renewal accounts and strategies to improve them.
  • Ensure appropriate customer training and product utilization by working with the Product Training Specialist team and monitoring Tableau reports for usage changes in key accounts.
  • Oversee the renewal lifecycle, including pricing, contracting, invoicing, and client support, ensuring customer concerns are addressed correctly and efficiently throughout the fiscal year.
  • Support new sales into existing accounts to maximize customer return on investment.
  • Learn Newswires delivery channels and partners and advise clients on best practices and use of Dow Jones content through partners.
  • Create and adhere to a service-level agreement for client response.
  • Understand and advocate for the Dow Jones suite of tools, including NewsPlus and associated newswires.
  • Develop account understanding, including business groups deriving value from Dow Jones services, client exposure to financial markets and the data sector, competitor solutions, and current and developing client needs.
  • Understand how clients derive value from Dow Jones services and products and identify the people and decision-makers involved.
  • Act as an internal conduit for client feedback and competitive intelligence to Dow Jones Product, Content, and Marketing teams.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue through upselling and cross-selling and work with the sales team to pursue those opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate client records in company systems.
  • Communicate with clients primarily by telephone and email, as well as through face-to-face meetings in European financial centres.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial data systems is highly desirable.
  • Additional European languages beyond English are desirable.
