Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in general aviation maintenance is required.
  • Airframe and Powerplant certifications are required.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain an airport-issued security badge.
  • Candidates must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and frequently stand, sit, walk, balance, and stoop.
Responsibilities
  • Perform in-progress and final quality control inspections on articles under assembly, repair, and/or alteration through physical inspection and paperwork review.
  • Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, the Repair Station Manual, and original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals for approval of articles for Return to Service.
  • Perform visual inspections for quality and workmanship.
  • Monitor service department adherence to the Western Safety Manual.
  • Ensure Western Aircraft policies and procedures are followed.
  • Make decisions to determine airworthiness and determine part approvals.
  • Determine whether repairs or alterations are major or minor.
  • Ensure certificated Part 135 operator's AAIP or CAMP programs are followed during maintenance.
  • Ensure proper tooling is used to determine airworthiness and is currently calibrated when applicable.
  • Communicate with leads and assigned service managers regarding assigned work orders.
  • Ensure maintenance quality leaves the aircraft, airframe, engine, propeller, or appliance in a condition at least equal to its original or properly altered condition.
  • Exercise Return to Service authority.
  • Perform technician duties when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous quality assurance/quality control aircraft inspector experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, King Air, Cessna, Piper, and Pilatus aircraft is preferred.
