Requirements
  • 10+ years of finance/accounting experience, focused on manufacturing/cost accounting, with supervisory experience
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls
  • Experience with supporting multiple foreign and domestic entities, including public companies
  • Comfortable in high growth environment
  • Possesses exceptional organizational skills and is an effective time manager/multi-tasker
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP System, a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required, CPA a plus
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing all manufacturing cost accounting related activities in North America: monthly and quarter-end closes, standard cost setting, labor & overhead absorption, inventory management, freight and duty tracking, and monitoring
  • Coordinate with operations leaders to manage the analysis and reporting of manufacturing variances, spending, and other manufacturing metrics to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings
  • Partner with FP&A to coordinate budgeting and forecasting, including materials, labor, and overhead expense forecasting
  • Assess and identify products that are being produced below margin expectations and then partner with the manufacturing team to measure and track progress as they correct low-margin products
  • Support manufacturing spending analysis and monitoring of manufacturing location metrics
  • Investigate, analyze, and report on manufacturing variances, material, and freight purchase price variances
  • Review and maintain master data including material master, BOM, and routings
  • Lead implementation of global cycle count program
  • Oversee periodic physical inventory, quarterly and annually
  • Identify and address slow-moving inventory, and partner with operations to calculate inventory excess and obsolescence reserves
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations for inventory and related cost of goods sold
  • Develop and maintain SOX controls related to costing and inventory
  • Assist with and ensure successful quarterly reviews and year-end audits
