Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective and efficient care as prescribed by the physician and required by facility policies and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with residents and their families about plans of care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other treatment protocols.
  • Maintain an acceptable standard of nursing practice and professional decorum.
  • Chart nurses' notes informatively and descriptively to reflect the care provided and the resident's response to care.
  • Provide resident care by carrying out physicians' orders, including medication and treatment administration.
  • Perform treatments in a manner that protects residents' dignity and self-respect.
  • Observe and assess wounds and pressure sores, promptly notifying physicians of healing problems, deterioration, or signs and symptoms of infection.
  • Ensure appropriate wound care management services are included in treatment-related care plans, including special mattresses and nutritional supplements.
  • Assist in preparing and updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during visits and examinations.
  • Communicate with physicians and other health professionals regarding residents' care, treatment, and condition.
  • Notify families and attending physicians of significant treatment-related issues, including adverse changes in skin condition or wounds, untoward responses to or unavailability or refusal of medication or treatment, significant treatment errors, and inability to timely obtain or administer prescribed treatment-related medication, equipment, supplies, or services posing a significant risk.
  • Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of nursing staff.
  • Report significant findings, changes in condition, and potential concerns to the Registered Nurse Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing.
  • Provide reassurance and compassionate care to residents who are upset or in need of support.
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections by authorized government agencies as requested.
  • Assist with the overall supervision of the nursing staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Knowledge and experience with PCC is preferred.

PACS Group acquires Alaska care facility, plans 150-bed skilled nursing centre by 2028

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. Hancock guided PACS through its successful initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in April 2024 and served as interim CFO from September 2025. He will be succeeded by Carey P. PACS Group appoints Optum CEO Dr Patrick Conway, former CMS deputy administrator, to board

PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer.
