Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll accounting; both US and Canada payroll experience
  • ADP and ADP Workforce Now experience highly desired
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Experience using Excel and Google Suite
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects at any given time
Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll through ADP for US and Canada locations; including timecard review, off cycle wage calculations, deductions and paid leave
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, providence and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll related questions
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to various departments post each payroll run
  • Prepare reporting to fund benefit related deductions from employee's pay- 401k, RRSP, HSA and various tax entities
  • Maintenance and creation of various employee time off policies in the time keeping system
  • Create payroll journal entries for posting in NetSuite(ERP), including regular payroll, month end, and other adjustments
  • Responsible for end of year payroll transactions- W-2s, T-4s, 1099R's and other required filing in US and CA
  • Required to meet deadlines on multiple projects that may occur at the same time
  • Other duties as assigned that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications of the position
