Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • More than 5 years of experience in full stack development roles is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Terraform is required.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and LINQ is required.
  • Strong experience with Next.js, Angular, or React; TypeScript or JavaScript; and HTML5/CSS3 is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, CI/CD, Docker, and Azure DevOps is required.
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL is required.
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks and API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI is required.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub Actions is required.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using .NET Core, C#, and RESTful APIs.
  • Build dynamic, responsive user-interface components using Next.js, Angular, or React with TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Integrate and optimize data storage solutions with Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure App Services, Functions, and Key Vault.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of backend and frontend components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software and contribute to technical planning.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and use Jira and Confluence for project management.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments with Docker, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing.
  • Develop GitHub Actions workflows for code and Docker builds and deployments.
  • Integrate code linting, security scanning, approvals, and environment gates into pipelines.
  • Translate business and application requirements into cloud-native and hybrid Azure solutions.
  • Ensure deployments are secure, scalable, and compliant with enterprise policies.
  • Work with developers, architects, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with application needs.
  • Review code, mentor team members, and promote DevOps best practices.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, CI/CD workflow documentation, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions and training.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers to promote high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.

Jeff Consolino named Core Specialty chairman as Ed Noonan steps down after six years

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings has announced changes to its Board of Directors. Ed Noonan has stepped down as Executive Chairman after serving since the company's 2020 recapitalisation. Jeff Consolino, the company's founder, president and CEO, has assumed the role of Executive Chairman effective immediately. The company has also appointed Bart van der Vlugt to its Board of Directors.
