Requirements
  • Experience in an enterprise-wide or cross-functional role and ability to influence senior business level ensuring shared ownership of the Company’s overall data strategy and plan execution.
  • Strong understanding of the overall regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plan execution.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management.
  • Executive communication skills with an ability to describe complex topics in simple terms. Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment.
  • Sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement. Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale, and complexity.
  • Strong executive presence; confident in presenting a balanced view to key stakeholders and senior management.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Finance Data organization within the EDO and implement data governance and operating model for Citi’s Finance function.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction and support to program and project delivery, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, leading relationships with key stakeholders across multiple organizations and functions.
  • Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance for data across the Finance organization, assessing data governance needs, partnering with the business and other stakeholders and establish structure and resource model to support.
  • Drive data quality, regulatory responses, risk management, and privacy to ensure data accuracy, security, and adherence to regulations.
  • Champion and lead data transformation efforts (including talent and capabilities) for Finance, overseeing data lifecycle management, and resolving data-related issues.
  • Drive Data stakeholder engagement across the Finance organization.
  • Develop and build strong working partnerships and strategic relationships with key partners across the business and technology in aligning implementation and operational strategies.
Desired Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years' managerial experience
  • Deep knowledge of financial data, along with an understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
  • Experience in large-scale, multi-year transformation and capability building efforts.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams. Extensive prior experience managing complex transformations involving cross business and function collaboration, in a leadership role.
  • Deep working knowledge, experience and expertise in Data Governance and/or Technology.
  • Deep knowledge of the Finance function.
  • Previous experience with regulatory agencies.
