Finalmouse claims its mouse has the absolute fastest click, quicker than the Logitech Superstrike and Razer Viper V4 Pro.

Finalmouse claims its mouse has the absolute fastest click, quicker than the Logitech Superstrike and Razer Viper V4 Pro. Published 3 hours ago "The fastest button input we've measured in a consumer electronic device." "At the centre of SLX is an entirely new TMR DS analogue click architecture... The result is not simply the fastest click latency we've ever produced, SLX achieves the fastest click latency of any gaming mouse we've tested. And, beyond that, the fastest button input we've measured in a consumer electronic device." Apparently, Finalmouse used to use its own XLat tester to measure the time it takes from the mouse switch electrically closing to the USB packet arriving at your system. But this isn't the whole story, because the time to actually press the button down, before the switch closes, is important, too. Decreasing this button-press time is the main benefit Logitech pointed everyone towards with the G Pro X2 Superstrike, and is what allowed the company to claim a 15-30 ms reduction in click latency. Latest Videos FromPC Gamer 2XKO Wasn't A "Mistake", Just A Tough Sell According To Riot Co-founder Voting closes at 02:59 PM on Sep 16, 2026 Using copper tape on the surface of the mouse clicker in combination with its XLat tester and a machine it built to model a human click, Finalmouse has managed to measure the total time taken from starting to press the button to the data packet being received by the host system: "[The pressing machine,] in combination with a little bit of copper tape and an XLat, will allow us to very accurately model the end-to-end latency of something that looks as closely as possible like a human click actuating a mouse." Finalmouse compares a pre-production sample of the Starlight X to the Superstrike, the Razer Viper V4 Pro, and the Endgame Gear OP1 8K V2. The latter mouse is the fastest one that Finalmouse has measured just considering the latency from actuation to packet receipt. However, it lacks the pre-click latency reduction that analogue clicks provide. End-to-end mouse click latency | Viper V4 Pro | 7.5 ms | | OP1 8K V2 | 5.7 ms | | GPX2 Superstrike | 3 ms | | Starlight X | 2 ms | Averaging 50 test clicks for each mouse, the two mice with analogue switches clicked significantly quicker than the two with traditional mechanical switches. Logitech made a keypad for people who've replaced half their job with AI agents.

Logitech made a keypad for people who've replaced half their job with AI agents. By Zack Bishop September 8, 2026 2 Mins Read Logitech just announced the MX Keypad, and it's a genuinely weird little product category: a physical macro pad built specifically for developers juggling multiple AI coding tools at once. If you've ever found yourself alt-tabbing between GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, VS Code, and IntelliJ mid-thought, trying to remember which agent you told to do what, this is aimed directly at that exact headache. The pitch is customization without limits. Every key on the MX Keypad can be mapped to trigger prompt macros, refactor commands, or launch specific tools, and any key can control one app or several at once. Logitech's framing it as a physical control center for a workflow that's gotten increasingly scattered across different AI agents, rather than another dumb macro pad with a few programmable buttons. There's also a real Microsoft/GitHub partnership baked in here, not just a logo slapped on a spec sheet. MX Keypad ships with native GitHub Copilot integration, and every unit comes with three free months of GitHub Copilot Pro+. Logitech's also opened things up with something called the Logi Actions SDK, which lets developers build their own custom integrations, and the community's apparently already jumped on it, publishing plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to the Logi Marketplace before the product's even been out for a full day (unless AI is behind that as well...). Discover more Journalism & News Industry Solid State Drives On the sustainability side, the keypad uses certified post-consumer recycled plastic (64% for the Graphite model, 49% for Pale Grey), and the packaging is sourced from FSC-certified forests, which is a nice, if now fairly standard, box for Logitech to check. It's launching today in Graphite and Pale Grey for $99.99, available on Logitech.com in select markets. The interesting part isn't really the hardware, it's what it says about where dev tooling is heading. A physical device built around orchestrating AI agents, rather than just typing code, is a pretty clear signal that "coding" has quietly turned into "managing a handful of assistants," and hardware makers are already racing to build the control panel for that shift.

Logitech evolves MX Series for hybrid work and AI era.

Logitech evolves MX Series for hybrid work and AI era. Wed, 9th Sep 2026 (Today) Logitech is continuing to evolve its MX Series around the changing nature of work, with hybrid workplaces, customisation and AI adoption emerging as key considerations for the Swiss consumer tech company's product development. Logitech recently brought together executives, media, creators, retailers, partners and members of its global leadership team for the MX Collective event at Sydney's Machine Hall, showcasing the MX Series through a range of interactive activations. Marisol Vargas, Senior Category Portfolio Manager at Logitech ANZ, said the event was designed to give attendees an opportunity to experience the products in a hands-on, fun environment. Activities on the night included a photobooth, a live art display and the chance to take home a new MX product. "The activations were designed to be interactive and genuinely enjoyable," Vargas said. "We're really proud of how the event turned out." As the concept of the workplace continues to change rapidly, with employees increasingly moving between home and hybrid office environments rather than working exclusively from a fixed desk, the MX Series has never been more relevant. For Logitech, that culture shift has greatly influenced how it approaches the design of its products, with flexibility becoming increasingly important for creatives and professionals who need their equipment to function across different environments and devices. "The workplace is no longer defined by a fixed desk, as teams continually pivot between working from home and in the office," Vargas said. "Designing for a hybrid world means creating tools that adapt to shifting environments. For the MX Series, our design philosophy focuses on wireless precision, cross-device flexibility, and noise reduction for mobile workers." That hybrid-first philosophy is shared by Managing Director and Cluster Head ANZ at Logitech, Damian Lepore, who emphasised that cognisance of modern work culture is at the heart of the MX Series. "We've always been a hybrid organisation, so we embrace that WFH culture," Lepore said. "But more so, for Logitech, it doesn't matter where you work. It's about the solution in its entirety." While they've built a reputation for distinctive product designs, ergonomics remains a central consideration when developing new hardware. Vargas pointed to the MX Vertical Mouse as an example of how Logitech aims to combine visual design with practical ergonomic considerations. The mouse uses a 57-degree angle, calculated by its Ergo Lab to reduce wrist muscle strain by ten per cent. "It's a thoughtful balance between innovation and practicality, but ergonomics is always our first priority when designing new products," she said. "Coupled with a sleek design, you get a mouse that actively supports your wrist while looking like a high-end piece of tech on your desk." The focus on ergonomics and functionality has helped make the MX Series particularly popular among professional users and creators. The range is aimed at people who spend significant amounts of time using mice and keyboards and want greater control and customisation from their equipment. "The MX Series is one of our most popular and beloved ranges, especially for creatives and power users who rely heavily on their mice and keyboards throughout the day," said Vargas. "It comes down to tactile feedback, total control and the time saved." One example is Logitech's MagSpeed scroll wheel, which is capable of moving through 1000 lines of code or spreadsheet rows in a second. Customisation is provided through its Logi Options+ software, allowing users to personalise their hardware to optimise individual workflows. "Our Logi Options+ software also allows for even more customisation, so the gear becomes an extension of your thought process," said Vargas. Looking ahead, Logitech expects artificial intelligence to play an even more significant role in the way people interact with their devices. AI-integrated workflows are emerging as a key trend in the company's research and are expected to influence not only the MX Series but also Logitech's wider ecosystem. Rather than relying exclusively on software-based interactions, the company is looking at how physical controls can give users faster access to AI capabilities while they work. Physical and customisable controls are designed to help users save time during their workday. "We're investing heavily in providing end-users with physical and customisable controls to save more time during the workday, like our dedicated AI Prompt Builder key, which can launch, tweak, and execute AI actions mid-workflow without breaking focus," Vargas said. For the MX Series, the direction points towards products that combine Logitech's existing focus on precision, ergonomics and customisation with new ways of interacting with AI. As hybrid work continues to blur the boundaries between home and office environments, Logitech's hardware needs to remain adaptable, while retaining the tactile, ergonomic and user-friendly qualities that have made the MX range so revered amongst professional and creative users alike.
