Responsibilities
  • This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes diagnosis and treatment of infections in solid organ transplant (SOT).
  • Responds to consultation requests; determines, prescribes and implements treatment plans and/or required medications.
  • Provides instructional training to fellows, housestaff, medical students and ancillary staff.
  • Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities.
  • Will maintain a dedicated SOT-only ambulatory care clinic.
  • Participates in scholarly activities (clinical research, quality improvement) and relevant committee work.
  • Interest/expertise in managing solid organ transplant patients, immunocompromised hosts including those with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is expected.
Desired Qualifications
  • Training or experience in Transplant Infectious Diseases is highly desired.
  • Clinical research experience with this population is preferred
