  • A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Two to four years of sales or agronomy experience are required.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of agronomy products, crop production practices, and precision agriculture solutions is required.
  • Strong relationship-building, customer service, and communication abilities are required.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills are required, with the ability to work independently in a results-driven environment.
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality is required.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the assigned territory are required.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve annual sales volume, gross margin, and revenue goals set by leadership.
  • Grow market share by expanding existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.
  • Promote a profitable mix of seed, crop protection products, fertilizer, and value-added agronomy services.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend agronomic solutions that improve producer success and increase sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently pursue qualified prospects.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned customers.
  • Build trusted relationships that position Frontier Cooperative as the customer's preferred agronomy partner.
  • Communicate the value of Frontier's products, services, patronage program, and agronomic expertise.
  • Provide timely follow-up on customer inquiries, service requests, and concerns.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience that drives long-term loyalty and retention.
  • Execute seasonal sales campaigns, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare accurate pricing, forecasts, and customer recommendations.
  • Utilize Frontier Connect and customer relationship management platforms to manage opportunities and document customer activity.
  • Engage customers through phone, email, text, social media, and virtual platforms, and maintain proactive communication throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with agronomy operations, procurement, and other business units to ensure excellent service and execution.
  • Collaborate with field Agronomy Account Managers and internal teams to deliver seamless customer support.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, and business planning sessions.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
  • Protect confidential customer and business information.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
