Requirements
  • Working knowledge of government contractor accounting and finance activities.
  • Experience with accounting systems and the interrelationships of the general ledger with sub-ledgers and other modules, including job cost, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
  • Experience with journal entries, account analysis, and resolving inaccuracies and issues.
  • A BS or BA degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • At least 5 years of total related work experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reference formulas and pivot tables, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word.
  • Teamwork, attention to detail, flexibility, organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support accounting requirements under generally accepted accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, as well as authoritative guidance published by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
  • Work with employees at varying levels inside and outside the accounting department.
  • Provide hands-on knowledge and support for projects, perform reconciliations, resolve issues, and execute corrections and adjustments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with JAMIS, Infinium, and PeopleSoft accounting software.
  • Experience with Business Objects, Showcase, or similar data-mining applications.
