Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe performance and provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize positive guest experience moments.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take corrective action, align the team on behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, drive results, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Model, train, and coach team member expectations to deliver the guest service model and culture.
  • Value diverse voices and approaches and create equitable experiences.
  • Plan daily and weekly workload and execute it to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including planning merchandising sets, updating planograms, and coordinating sales plans, events, and promotions.
  • Lead execution of onboarding and learning best practices and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants with guidance from the direct leader.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Encourage team members to use department tools such as fitting rooms, testers, and displays to provide personalized recommendations.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met and areas are full and maintained.
  • Support execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations for defined categories.
  • Create visual merchandising moments by ensuring products are organized, signed correctly, and merchandised to support seasonal trends.
  • Support backroom processes, organization, layout, and sales-floor replenishment to ensure product availability.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Lead the team in maintaining welcoming, clean, and safe fitting rooms when applicable.
  • Support the direct leader in establishing goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Model and enforce ethical conduct, safety, and compliance practices.
  • Lead safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, correcting hazards, holding the team accountable to safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries.
  • Model physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application, as directed by best practices.
  • Follow safe-and-secure training and processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts based on store needs.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services, including backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive Up, while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
