The Sales Operations & Strategic Project Manager serves as a partner to Craft Education’s Head of Sales & Revenue (Growth) by driving key business initiatives that originate from their office. They play a central role in the successful delivery of projects, processes and systems that create tangible outcomes for the Sales & Revenue (Growth) Team.
The Sales Operations & Strategic Project Manager will co-own Sales Operations and be an extension of the Head of Growth, advancing both corporate- and team-level KPIs by designing and driving workstreams while mobilizing key stakeholders and executive level decision makers.
The Sales Operations & Strategic Project Manager leads large scale projects including design and implementation of sales operations, sales strategy, customer discovery, go-to-market and marketing. This role is a standalone owner and leader of projects and initiatives in an ambiguous environment with shifting priorities. They are expected to bring excellent business judgment to drive outcomes by collaborating productively with colleagues and senior leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads planning and delivery of high-impact and high-visibility projects in Craft’s Sales & Revenue Department, managing colleagues, consultants, and/or contractors to deliver tangible results.
- Co-owns Sales Operations, in close partnership with Head of Growth, to drive scalability, efficiency, and revenue growth.
- Executes on specific workstreams in Sales Strategy & Planning, Process Design & Optimization, Performance Analysis & Reporting.
- Provides strategic support to the senior leadership of Craft Education.
- Manages escalated situations on behalf of the Head of Growth and develops solutions to address escalated situations for collaboration with the Head of Growth.
- Provides leverage by representing the Head of Growth at meetings, including presenting to senior leaders; summarizes key takeaways and action items for Head of Growth and follows up on action items on their behalf.
- Serves as a senior liaison within the matrixed WGU organization and WGU Ecosystem for internal and external partnerships and stakeholders.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or related field.

- 5+ years of relevant work experience, including a proven track record of designing, managing and delivering projects with tangible outcomes
- Experience designing and implementing operational improvements to drive business outcomes.
- Experience with strategic planning and evaluation
- Experience managing/leading professional staff, consultants, and/or contractors within a tech startup environment
- Experience with successful collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in B2B sales operations
Experience in lieu of education
Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.

Location Requirements:
Work location is determined by role and business needs. In addition to our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT we have office locations across the US. Senior leadership, administrative functions, and technology teams are typically assigned to work in one of our office locations. While this position will begin with a Remote/Work-From-Home designation, we will be moving to an In-Office/Hybrid model once a dedicated office space in Nashville, TN is established.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
