- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or hold active Certified Medical Assistant certification as required by the state.
- Hold an active Basic Life Support certification.
- Hold phlebotomy certification if required by the state.
- Have a valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel between work locations.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, occupational health, or urgent care.
- Pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries background investigation.
- Be willing to complete CAOHC and Drug Testing Collection certifications.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed to perform essential job functions.
- Be fully vaccinated in accordance with CDC guidelines as an on-site staff member or contractor.
- Conduct vital signs, blood draws, and diagnostic testing.
- Assist providers during examinations and medical emergencies, and activate EMS when appropriate.
- Provide patient education within scope of practice.
- Verify patient identity using established protocols.
- Maintain exam rooms, bathrooms, waiting areas, and other clinical spaces according to hygiene and infection-control standards.
- Disinfect surfaces, change exam table paper, and ensure equipment is clean and presentable.
- Arrive on time, follow the work schedule, and remain on-site during assigned hours.
- Schedule appointments, perform data entry, manage reports, and assist with documentation in electronic medical record systems.
- Follow HIPAA, infection-control, and quality-assurance protocols.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and treat patients, colleagues, and leadership courteously and respectfully.
- Use electronic medical record systems, Microsoft Office, and other clinic software.
- Maintain exam-room supplies, monitor inventory levels, and notify leadership of shortages.
- Collaborate with providers, leadership, and fellow staff to support clinic operations and patient care.
- Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities supporting clinic operations.
- Experience working with Veterans, Service Members, or Federal Employees.
- Skill in electrocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, ankle-brachial index testing, venipuncture, and laboratory processing.
- Current Audio and Drug Testing Collection certifications.
