Responsibilities
- Collaborate with materials team and external suppliers to develop custom extrusion equipment
- Maximize fiber production yield and quality while reducing costs
- Monitor equipment performance, generate reports, and uncover improvement opportunities
- Enhance processes, equipment, and product quality
- Minimize downtime and resolve equipment issues
- Provide comprehensive reports and accurate forecasts
- Innovate and seek process, equipment, and product enhancements
- Optimize capital investment utilization
- Build strong relationships with key equipment suppliers
- Stay ahead of industry trends and innovate
- Design and test automated systems for tights production efficiency
- Collaborate with fellow mechanical experts to push the boundaries of possibility with prototypes
- Work closely with the Data and Production teams
- Create mechanical designs that excel in technical excellence, performance, reliability, functionality, manufacturability, and safety
- Implement robust engineering methods and meticulous documentation practices
