Requirements
  • Typically requires an minimum of 3 - 4 years of related experience plus an minimum 2 year Associates degree and ISO or IATF Internal Auditor Training.
  • Prior experience as an internal quality auditor to ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 Standards.
Responsibilities
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Axon’s Calibration Program.
  • Lead and support the planning and performance of ongoing internal and external audits for ISO 17025.
  • Oversees the maintenance and execution of the calibration program to ensure compliance to standards, including internal QMS procedures, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025.
  • Acts as the lead Internal Auditor for ISO 17025
  • Issuing corrective actions as necessary
  • Driving root cause and corrective action with process owners
  • Assisting with the closure and follow up of associated corrective & preventive actions
  • Performing Follow-up audits on to verify corrective action effectiveness
  • Maintains Calibration schedule for facilities and equipment – including, but not limited to, logs, records, files, and other documentation for both internal and external calibrations.
  • Maintain and manage Axon’s Internal Calibration Lab.
  • Performing equipment calibration when necessary.
  • Maintains tools and equipment to ensure the proper quality levels are maintained. Works with other team members and external team members and some management team members.
  • Coordinates with department managers, maintenance personnel, production leads, and external vendors for calibrations, repairs and other services.
  • Ensures calibration accuracy and adherence. Investigates impact on product and/or processes for any out-of-tolerance (OOT) issues identified and documenting.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement Activities to help reduce waste in the manufacturing system by supporting Six Sigma Problem Solving Techniques.
  • Support in the Root Cause Analysis of issues that impact the external customer through Six Sigma Problem Solving techniques.
  • Gather data through various measuring equipment and sample analysis, CEW test fires, manufacturing floor observations and designed experiments.
  • Develop a process and manage Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies for Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.
  • Provide training of QMS, Calibration Process to new hires, as needed.
  • Support other Quality Management System initiatives, as required
