Requirements
  • 6-9+ years of relevant experience and has earned a BS or equivalent degree
  • Experience providing guidance to team members
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the life sciences industry in business process excellence with focus on fundamental continuous improvement, process management, and system thinking
  • Focus on compliance, driving results, and upstream thinking
  • Ability to quickly ramp up knowledge of business and quality management systems
  • Deep expertise in utilizing process improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques (i.e., VSM, Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, A3, Kaizen)
  • Deep experience in process mapping and workflow design tools (i.e., MS Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Fluency with cloud-based products such as MS office products and Smartsheets
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to perform tasks methodically, and can employ critical thinking in problem-solving
  • Strong collaboration with multi-region and cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify, influence and recommend impactful process solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with attention to detail and delivery dates
  • Experience thinking analytically and strategically about issues and influencing stakeholders, leadership, and individual contributors at all levels
  • Able to escalate risk with the necessary urgency
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally at all levels of the organization
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt), or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's policies, data, operational structure, and products to identify ways to enhance GxP compliance through the application of knowledge management
  • Conduct current-state assessment of business processes and drive improvements for scalability, efficiency, velocity, and enhanced employee experience
  • Maintain global process governance in close partnership with functional teams across Development
  • Work across Development functions to facilitate Continuous Improvement activities, including collaboration with Development Management to design, document, and measure new processes or updates to existing processes utilizing process improvement methods, tools, and techniques
  • Creates and translates process maps or other business representations to apply to SOP writing
  • Develop and maintain process documents and revisions, including Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Calibrates with the business and management to determine revisions to governance documents
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of industry and organization-wide best practices for quality management and share information across the board as necessary
  • Support efforts to understand requirements, for any new regulations, conduct gap analyses of system, processes, and supporting documentation, outline impact, define changes required, and support implementation to verify compliance
  • Regularly analyze and report trends to support Business Reviews
  • Aid in establishing electronic systems for continuous improvement, when required
  • Measure the outcomes and outputs of process improvement initiatives and leverage analytics & insights to inform direction of the business
  • Partner with the Quality team and leverage, outline & analyze process health & quality metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing processes
  • Develop Lean Champions program and deploy across the Process Excellence and Operations community to scale the process improvement knowledge and methodologies
  • Proactively identify the important problems in support of company goals and create processes/solutions to address them
