Responsibilities
  • Provides support to the talent management process through collaborative partnering with management to recognize the specific talent acquisition need.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and developing recruitment plans.
  • Screens resumes; interviews applicants; assists in panel debriefs, makes salary recommendations and performs onboarding activities. Collaborates with HR Partners and hiring managers to ensure the seamless execution of recruiting processes.
  • Develops and refines recruitment strategies to enhance applicant pipelines and overall applicant quality. Screens resumes; interviews applicants; assists in panel debriefs, makes salary recommendations and performs onboarding activities.
  • Identifies and implements process enhancements to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Supports employer branding efforts through job ads, social media, and candidate outreach.
  • Generates reports and metrics related to recruitment activity and pipeline management. Tracks and analyzes recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with HR policies and hiring regulations; maintains accurate recruitment records.
  • Communicates professionally and promptly with candidates regarding interview details, next steps, and outcomes.
  • Posts open positions on external job boards, ensuring accuracy and visibility.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews between candidates and hiring teams, including virtual and in-person logistics.
  • Assists in non-recruiting activities throughout the year to help support various HR processes and programs.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Supports staff hiring processes, including developing job descriptions, interviewing and reference checking, handling employment offers, and conducting orientation. Drafts templates and routine offer letters. Maintains appropriate human resources data and records, solving a range of straightforward problems using standard procedures.
  • Counsels employees on benefits and compensation. Coordinates with managers and senior colleagues to determine employee compensation. Analyzes data and prepares charts, graphs, and trend lines for management review with a moderate level of guidance.
  • Performs other related work as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in human resources and/or specific recruitment experience.
  • Proficient with Workday or other applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Work independently with little supervision.
  • Self-motivated disposition.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes.
  • Handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts in a multitude of communication methods, such as in-person, email, and phone.
  • Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach.
