Requirements
  • An accredited high school diploma is required.
  • Eight years of verifiable experience as a training professional in a nuclear environment are required.
  • Demonstrated skill and understanding of the ADDIE process are required.
  • Working knowledge of DOE Order 426.2 is required.
  • The candidate must obtain Drill Controller qualification within two months of employment and maintain it throughout the contract period.
  • The candidate must obtain OJT/JPM Instructor/Evaluator qualification within three months of employment and maintain it throughout the contract period.
  • The candidate must obtain Instructor qualifications in a designated Liquid Waste operating facility within six months.
  • The candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The candidate must have knowledge and experience developing e-learning products using state-of-the-art software.
  • The candidate must have specialized knowledge of Waste Certification and Hazardous Materials Management.
  • The candidate must have knowledge and experience developing and conducting simulator training.
  • The candidate must have previous training experience at the Savannah River Site and familiarity with SRS Manual 4B requirements.
  • The candidate must be able to use business tools including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
Responsibilities
  • Provide training support for Liquid Waste in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned instructional programs in accordance with approved Training Program Descriptions and Training Plans.
  • Analyze, assess, extract, and convert training content from technical and administrative documents or subject matter experts into relevant instructional material meeting organizational standards.
  • Present lesson materials at the instructional level or method established by Operations and Training Management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Post-high-school education is preferred but not required, subject to DOE Order 426.2 guidelines.
  • A baccalaureate degree in Training or Education with coursework focused on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery, testing, and evaluation of training programs is preferred.
  • Other degrees may be considered if the applicant has completed coursework in instructional analysis, design, development, delivery, testing, and evaluation of training programs.
  • Previous training experience at the Savannah River Site and familiarity with SRS Manual 4B requirements are highly considered.
