The Role
The Software Engineer Intern will report within the Embedded Software Engineering organization and support the delivery of reliable, safety-critical software that monitors the vehicle and the environment.
This position requires software engineering skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn in unstructured environments. You will be responsible for bringing safety mechanisms prototype software up to safety-critical quality level. This opportunity offers the chance to help develop a market-defining, enterprise-grade robotics product that combines autonomous vehicle technologies with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model.

Duties & Key Objectives
- Collaborate with embedded software engineers and derive Software Quality metrics requirements
- Develop unit tests and as needed refactor code to achieve higher coverage
- Update code for MISRA compliance
- Develop embedded resource monitoring
- Document development and testing activities
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- High degree of comfort with C++ and C
- Comfortable developing software in a Linux environment
- Experience with Git
Ideal Qualifications
- Working towards a master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Experience in embedded software development or testing for autonomous vehicle or mobile robotics applications
- Familiarity with MISRA Guidelines
- Experience with Unit Testing
- Experience with embedded resource utilization monitoring
