Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of diverse debt and equity instruments and funding sources; experience managing facilities, amendments, and legal documentation of credit facilities
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills with a bias toward action
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
Responsibilities
  • Manage current debt facilities across multiple instruments including: warehouses, asset-based lines, term loans, and convertible notes
  • Recommend, negotiate, and execute on new structures and facilities to ensure access to diverse funding sources
  • Ensure compliance with all debt covenants and reporting requirements
  • Advise on strategies to optimize the short-term and long-term capital structure
  • Drive capital allocation and cost of capital optimization initiatives
  • Develop risk management program to include interest rate, FX, and counterparty risk
  • Partner with FP&A on financial modeling and to develop a free cash flow forecast to support strategic decision-making and liquidity management
  • Collaborate across Finance, Legal, Credit, and Product teams
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting to senior executives and the Board of Directors
  • Develop capital planning and balance sheet forecasting based on drivers such as warehouse facility activity and other capital markets and corporate activities

One obstacle to American Express Global Business Travel's acquisition of CWT appears to be clearing, as the United Kingdom's Competition and Markets Authority has reversed its position that the merger would weaken competition.In a supplementary interim report of its investigation of the $570 million mega-TMC merger published on Tuesday, the CMA said its further analysis and review of evidence submitted by Amex GBT and CWT show that CWT is "a materially weaker competitor" than it had previously assessed, citing its "financial difficulties" and that "its financial position is unlikely to improve, and it potentially faces a trajectory of losing more business than it will gain.".
