Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an equivalent field, or five years of experience as a Project Coordinator with field experience in various company divisions.
  • Specialized skills gained through exposure to specific projects, technologies, or industries such as fueling, electrical, or gas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective time management.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug tests, including post-employment and random testing.
Responsibilities
  • Provide project technical support by interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Resolve project questions and problems as they arise.
  • Participate in developing project estimates and related negotiations.
  • Acquire vendor and subcontractor quotes.
  • Develop a site-specific safety plan with the safety department.
  • Discuss weekly safety topics with the construction team and participate in daily safety briefings.
  • Coordinate project-specific materials pickup and delivery to the jobsite.
  • Obtain and set up required yard and office equipment with the Superintendent.
  • Develop and accurately update the project schedule.
  • Report production quantities weekly.
  • Submit a weekly owner report containing project status, schedule updates, safety reports, a two-week look-ahead, outstanding issues, and pending change orders.
  • Track, analyze, and report costs for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, outside rentals, and trucking.
  • Maintain communication with the construction team, owner representatives, inspection team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Forecast project cost to complete and present findings to executives monthly.
  • Submit requests for information to the owner regarding questions and change-order conditions.
  • Prepare red-line as-built drawings for the owner's archive.
  • Close out completed projects by hosting the closeout meeting, indexing project documents, and submitting internal closeout documentation.
  • Assist with the training and efficiency of Project Coordinators.
