Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work saves lives

Plans, coordinates, and executes laboratory equipment and system development, calibration, safety, and 5S related activities within Test Services. In addition, individual will be responsible for identifying and resolving areas that need improvement pertaining to lab equipment (maintenance & calibration), automation, procedures and policies. Ensures all work conducted is in accordance with laboratory procedures, company quality system, and according to project plan and schedules.

What you'll be doing

• Maintains Test Tool Validation Log in Agile
• Lead a team to establish best-in-class test automation equipment and methods across electrical, mechanical, biomedical, and software test disciplines.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and prioritize test system development plans.
• Prepare documentation, instructions, and manuals for equipment use.
• Provide and document training according to quality processes and procedures.
• Identify, document, and validate primary requirements for test system equipment.
• Develop software-controlled electromechanical test system equipment for accelerated life cycle testing, data acquisition, and reporting.
• Coordinate test development personnel for multiple projects.
• Plan, justify, and secure capital equipment for fixture development.
• Maintain Test Tool Validation Log in Agile.
• Initiate and complete documentation for equipment setup, calibration, verification, validation, and maintenance.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in laboratory equipment development, calibration, and maintenance, with a focus on test automation and equipment development.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement test systems and equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, including ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
• Experience with software development and programming languages such as Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with data acquisition and reporting systems, such as LabVIEW or National Instruments.
• Understanding 5S principles and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience with capital equipment justification and procurement processes.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
