Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain RCU’s Business Continuity Plans; communicate expectations with respect to plan review and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) maintenance.
  • Ensure plan updates are consistent with RCU business continuity standards and are consistent with facility and technology capabilities and vendor support.
  • Design, conduct, and document testing and training as required by the Business Continuity Program.
  • Plan, conduct and maintain an enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA). Analyze BIA data and report findings to the Compliance Manager.
  • Perform risk analysis for business areas to identify points of vulnerability and recommend risk reduction strategies to business owners.
  • Manage business continuity related projects, including setting project goals, coordinating efforts between multiple departments, monitoring for effectiveness, and ensuring projects are consistent with RCU’s business continuity standards.
  • Draft business continuity status reports for the Compliance Manager, including reports designed for Executive and Board communication.
  • Develop and maintain incident management plans and procedures designed to support and guide RCU’s leadership response during crisis events and ensure support is provided to team members.
  • Assist RCU’s leadership team during crisis situations by coordinating the activities of the Incident Response Team; coordination includes ensuring all tasks are properly assigned, communicated, and completed, performing situation monitoring and reporting situation updates to RCU Executives, and maintaining records of key developments of the incident.
  • Under the supervision of the Compliance Manager, develop postmortem analyses of past incident handling and draft recommendations to enhance RCU future incident management strategies.
  • Maintain supplies of emergency materials designed to support RCU’s leadership team during crisis situations.
  • Plan, design, and conduct tests, drills and table-top activities designed to test the effectiveness of RCU’s Business Continuity Plans and Incident Management Procedures.
  • Develop and prepare training on business continuity subjects for RCU leaders.
  • Develop and coordinate employee educational campaigns designed to enhance employee personal preparedness.
Desired Qualifications
  • Business Continuity Officer Certification is desirable.
  • The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of three years’ experience in the financial services industry, business continuity, risk management, or project management.
