Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent listed engineering field from an ABET-accredited or equivalent university is required.
  • Three years of related engineering experience are required.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Pages is required.
  • The candidate must be able to support one- to two-week domestic and international development trips.
  • The candidate must have a clean driving record and be able to drive test vehicles on public roadways.
Responsibilities
  • Establish budget and timing plans for approval and planning for assigned vehicles.
  • Set vehicle-specific objective performance targets for all advanced driver-assistance system features using competitive benchmarks, translated voice-of-customer input, and industry knowledge.
  • Work with the advanced driver-assistance system Functional Science simulation team to increase simulation capability and apply it to programs.
  • Create and support the validation plan for the test engineering team.
  • Track and report development and validation status through scorecards and supporting materials to leadership.
  • Provide impact assessments for product and feature changes.
  • Review and prepare materials and vehicles for leadership ride-and-drive events.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional issues affecting advanced driver-assistance system performance.
  • Escalate roadblocks affecting development and validation.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans for timing slips and issue resolution.
  • Identify and fill gaps in a new, rapidly growing organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of the V-model development process and requirements traceability.
  • Two years of experience in advanced driver-assistance system product development.
  • Five years of related engineering experience.
  • Understanding of the client’s vehicle and electrical engineering development milestones.
