We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the fabrication, metal finishing, wood finishing, pre-production and assembly processes, ensuring that every product is crafted with the highest level of quality and precision. This role will also be responsible for addressing any QC issues throughout the production cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for artisan craftsmanship. You will lead a skilled team of artisans and production staff, collaborating with design, purchasing, engineering and sales teams to ensure timely delivery and superior product quality.

Lead and manage a team of artisans and production staff, ensuring that all production tasks are completed on time and to specification.
Identify and resolve any QC issues that arise during the production process, maintaining high standards throughout.
Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring a smooth workflow from pre-production to final assembly and shipping.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure custom orders meet client specifications and that all technical details are communicated clearly.
Evaluate materials procurement and inventory to ensure the timely availability of necessary components for production.
Implement and monitor quality control processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistency across all products.
Work closely with the senior management team to ensure that production KPI targets and company objectives are met.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Track and report on production performance, highlighting issues and proposing solutions for continuous improvement.

Proven experience in production management, with a focus on fabrication, assembly, metal finishing, wood finishing, and quality control, ideally within the custom or artisan product industry.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a skilled team of artisans and production staff.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and project management.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with production management software (ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus).
A passion for craftsmanship and a deep understanding of the artisan manufacturing process.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience in lighting, furniture, or other custom, high-end product manufacturing.
