Requirements
  • This is a techno-functional solution architect role rather than a purely functional or purely technical role.
  • Deep functional knowledge of Manhattan TMS, preferably Manhattan Active TMS, including carrier management, contract and rate management, shipment planning, tendering, dock scheduling, and carrier communication.
  • Solution-design-level understanding of how Manhattan Active TMS integrates with warehouse management and enterprise resource planning systems; deep expertise in integration protocols, mappings, cloud security, and non-functional requirements is not required for this role.
  • Ability to operate as a Solution Architect or Design Lead rather than as a configuration specialist or pure consultant; the role is scoped above hands-on configuration work.
  • Prior experience supporting Manhattan Transportation Management implementations or multi-system transformation programs, ideally in manufacturing, high-tech, consumer packaged goods, retail, or logistics.
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to the multi-phase engagement.
  • Must be based onshore in the United States and able to travel to Irvine, California up to three days per week during active Conference Room Pilot sessions.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to lead and support transportation management requirements.
  • Assess the feasibility of implementing dock scheduling and carrier communication capabilities within Manhattan Active TMS.
  • Demonstrate and pilot dock scheduling and carrier communication functionality as part of the Conference Room Pilot process.
  • Document solution designs and design decisions, extending the design work across the full transportation management flow, including carrier setup, contract management, carrier procurement, shipment planning, and tendering.
  • Onboard sites and carriers onto Manhattan Transportation Management.
  • Provide continuity of design knowledge across both phases to reduce ramp-up risk for the broader implementation.
  • Travel onsite to Irvine, California up to three days per week.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Manhattan Active TMS.
  • Experience in manufacturing, high-tech, consumer packaged goods, retail, or logistics verticals.

Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Prologis Ventures' investment adds capital and distribution in July 2026.
  • The July 21, 2026 Prologis partnership expands AI and automation deployments.
  • Its Manhattan partnership still supports faster go-lives and scalable WMS implementations.

What critics are saying

  • Consulting revenue depends on partner-led deals; Prologis or Manhattan changes hit pipeline fast.
  • Accenture, Körber, and Manhattan Professional Services compete for the same warehouse projects.
  • If AI deployments miss ROI in 2026, Fulfillment IQ stays a services niche.

What makes Fulfillment IQ unique

  • Fulfillment IQ blends Manhattan, Prologis, and warehouse systems integration expertise.
  • Its July 21, 2026 Prologis deal links consulting to a logistics real-estate ecosystem.
  • It targets 3PLs, D2C retailers, and operators with product engineering services.
