- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A Food Handler’s permit or Serve Safe Certification is required where required by law or policy.
- Knowledge of the operations and maintenance of all equipment in the assigned stores is required.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work a minimum of three second shifts per week opposite the manager, ensuring that key operating hours have a manager on duty.
- Reliable transportation and a phone are required.
- Regular and consistent attendance is required.
- Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
- Must be able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time; the role also requires frequent walking, hand and finger use, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing, along with occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Open and close shifts proficiently, including completing all required documentation.
- Ensure customer needs are met and company customer service policies are consistently followed.
- Supervise cash handling procedures, including control and bank deposits.
- Assist in ensuring team members follow proper food preparation, handling, storage, and safety procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in resolving customer, personnel, and mechanical issues as they arise.
- Ensure the assigned store meets company standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall appearance, both inside and outside.
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and pricing of merchandise.
- Support the implementation and follow-up of company training programs.
- Assist in supervising and training all store personnel to ensure job duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Assist with training on food handling, proper hold times, code dating, and temperature controls.
- Ensure all food products are properly stored, labeled, code dated, and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Assist in ensuring all shifts are adequately covered.
- Ensure all personnel are in proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean appearance.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance, customer, and personnel problems to upper management in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining required records related to merchandise, personnel, and fuel.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Attend management and training sessions as required.
- Provide friendly and competent customer service.
- Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise 4 to 16 employees in each assigned Pump & Pantry.
