Requirements
  • 7+ years of stock plan administration experience for late-stage private companies and public companies
  • 5+ years in processing multistate payroll and working knowledge of best payroll practices
  • CEP Level 3 or equivalent experience is a must, along with a strong background in U.S. federal and state taxation relating to equity compensation, and general knowledge of global taxation
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, analytical abilities, and consistent follow-through, including project management skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in responding and resolving to employee inquiries on stock, ESPP quickly and correctly
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality in a very open and transparent environment
Responsibilities
  • Stock Plan Administration:
  • Manage the daily administration of our global stock incentive plans and is the primary point person for stock related tasks, projects, employee queries, and management of our stock administration systems
  • Prepare and process stock option grants, cancellations, roll forward of grants, and exercises on a timely basis for all employees, and other option and equity holders
  • Administer the global Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and semi-annual enrollment and purchases
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of the equity database including the process and reconciliation of grants, exercises, new hire, terminations/cancellations, and audits
  • Generate reports from database to support SEC reporting and other management reporting
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of SOX controls for stock-based compensation
  • Assist with the annual audit process and quarterly reviews of equity award disclosures, annual statutory audits, and global internal and external audits
  • Lead and represent the accounting team through new processes or projects (e.g., implementation of new stock plan services platform or existing stock plan service platform modules, new compliance programs, etc.)
  • Assist with equity program education support and employee education
  • Partner in New Hire Orientations in response to and resolution of simple to complex equity program questions
  • Provide support for other departmental activities or special projects as needed, including international tax and securities research and compliance
  • Payroll Administration:
  • Prepare and process US payroll for all employees, including validation of all inputs to employee payroll files
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of payroll transaction details and produce periodic payroll reports
  • Input payroll journal entry to General Ledger and ensure proper coding of payroll expenses by department
  • Prepare all accrued bonus, ESPP, and other accrued payroll journal entries as appropriate and prepare related account reconciliations
  • Prepare schedules to support workers compensation audits, 401K/Form 5500 reviews and other surveys/reports requiring employee payroll data
  • Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures and SOX controls for payroll and stock administration areas and assist with external audits by providing supporting records and documentation
  • Lead and/or assist with ad-hoc projects as required
